About Hayley McGowan
I have always had an innate interest in anything creative; painting, sculpture, photography and drawing. It was my love of painting that first prompted me to pick up a make-up brush.
My journey in semi-permanent brows began when my mum made a comment about losing her brows, she said, “I wish you could draw them for me”. This got me thinking about the men and women who, for many reasons, have lost hair from their brows. This often has an unspoken daily impact on self-esteem and self-confidence. Having worked in the make-up industry for over a decade, I know how important eyebrows are to the structure of the face. As I researched treatment options, I found Phiacademy, and so began my love for all things brows.
After I completed my basic training with a London-based artist at Phiacademy, that was it, I was hooked! I decided to fully emerce myself in as much education as possible, gaining advanced trainings in Phibrows, Boldbrows, Powder Brows and hair-stroke technique. I combined my trainings with my love for travel and and so gained invaluable experience worldwide.
